Legend of Zelda ~ Spirit Tracks

Good morning bloggers!
I’ve just been doing the usual and checked my emails and there landed an IGN video of the brand new Zelda game and OMG it looks awesome!
Click here for video.. for some reason it wouldn’t upload XD

I’m liking the way they mixed the windwaker graphics with the control style of phantom hourglass, but with added trains and a sidekick to control! It looks really fun! They have also added new weapons judging by the look of the video!

I shall indeed be keeping my eyes open for more trailers and the inevitable release date!

In other news, Naomi’s christening last week was awesome. It was a really enjoyable day and she even tried to baptise herself by splashing in the water and wiping it on her head!! We had a really nice bbq party afterwards and she was showered in cards and presents!

This week has been rather uneventful, just the usual baby group and housework.. which I must admit has been a bit lax lately but Alan has been picking up some of the slack while I rest 😀 I think I shall finish the washing up in a few minutes and sweep the floor as I am heading off in to town to meet up with helen and the kids 😀

Our freeview box appears to be up the creek as it will only get signal from a few channels, and one of them isn’t cbeebies so Naomi doesn’t have In the Night Garden anymore 😥 but we do have have the citv channel so she’s dancing to the Fun Song Factory, which is a lot better than Popshop!!

Well, off I go back to the washing up and I spose I better get some breakfast as Naomi doesn’t seem to eat hers anymore so I have to let her have mine XD fussy girl!!!

toodles!

falling into place

“If only we had a way to make it all fall faster everyday”

Had a great couple of days! As you all know, it was mothers day on sunday and it was also Naomi’s christening. The day started off really well, with Alan getting up with Naomi and leaving me sleep in until 8. we had a very hectic morning, getting ready, all 3 of us having showers and the like.

The service itself was very nice. I’m not usually one for churches but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and it was a very enjoyable day.

Naomi decided that when she was sat on the pedestal with the water, she splashed in it and then wiped her wet hands on her head, at the same time as the minister. The whole congregation burst into laughter!

After the service, we all had a bbq party back at her nana’s house and she was spoilt rotten with everyone buying her presents and cards and even a cake!
Theresa was being a pain all day and taking the mickey out of me.. I think it was her silly way of trying to “cheer” me up, as amber and matt were the only people in my family who were there. and even then, mum stopped them from staying for the bbq.

wedding preps are almost done, I’ve ordered alan’s wedding ring and am ordering the bridesmaids dresses next week when alan gets paid. We’ll also be getting my ring next week 😀

I’m getting really excited about it now, Alan’s family are so wonderful with everything and even kathryn has started accidentally saying “your mum” instead of  “alan’s mum” .. not that I mind of course, they practically are my family anyway and they sure as hell behave more like my family than the others do! I’m even considering changing my name on everything already, rather than wait for the wedding. I’d rather do that then to still be associated with those assholes!

Naomi’s doing really well. she’s been very cuddly but is starting to string words together to ask for things, or to explain what’s wrong. I’m so proud of my little angel and wouldn’t change her for the world, well.. other than the tantrums of course 😀

well I seem to just be babbling so I will post again soon

toodles!

a bit of meh

I know I said I’d upload chapter 1 and I’m sorry for those (if any) who are waiting for it.. I promise it’ll be done soon, but Alan and I had a bit of a bad week last week that almost resulted in me leaving him for good..

Luckily we’re over it and looking forward to a bright future… VERY bright in the case of my hair atm.. lol! Talk about a dye-sastor!

Well, I’ve decided to start adding a tracklist to my blog so that you peeps can have a peek inside my head and see what’s going on!
I have felt that music is the gateway to the soul and that the lyrics, intertwined with the harmonies create such an opening to your inner thoughts that anyone can listen to the same set of songs and immediately determine the mood you are in at the time of listening. Even if the songs on that list are so completely different to one another in style, there is always a common element which portrays the mood perfectly.

For example, todays playlist is a right mix from soft-pop musicals to heavy finnish operatic metal, but they all have one common element: The huge vocals and dramatic changes in vocal tone:

I know Him So Well ~ Elaine Paige and Barbara Dickinson
Beautiful Goodbye   ~ Amanda Marshall
Amaranth                    ~ Nightwish
Halleluijah                   ~ Paramore
Wishing You were somehow here again ~  Phantom of the Opera (2004 ost)
Still Alone                    ~ Ayumi Hamasaki
Sad Eyes                       ~ Bat For Lashes
Decode                          ~ Paramore
Never Think                ~ Rob Pattinson
Leave Out All the rest ~ Linkin Park

I have to say that they are a collection of my favourite songs ever written, for both their lyrics, and the harmonics written into the music as well. (If you’d like to listen to them, try playlist.com)

Well as I’m probably now boring you with endless musical nonsense, I’ll move onto the wedding nonsense!
I have now completed Naomi’s flowergirl wand. It took bloody ages to do, lots of ribbon, fingers got ripped off plastic in the process and I must say, it’s looking rather nice 😀 Now I just need to do the buttonholes, the bridesmaids flowers and order some more lillies for my bouquet, as I’ve since decided that I want mine to be slightly bigger than originally planned… Here’s a photo of Naomi’s:

I’m hoping that she won’t completely ruin it how we get to the church but if she does, I’ll piece it together again after the wedding!
Alan is currently out shopping with his mum to try and show her what we want his sisters to wear to the wedding.. Better not get too into that topic or I’ll end up ranting about it for the rest of the day! I just hope that she likes it and makes the girls wear it or I have a major problem…

Theres not really anything else to say at the moment. I’ve got my veil and Naomi’s dress, Alan’s sorting his suit next week when the guys are here and everything else just needs paying for!

Naomi shall be awake any minute now, and Kathryn’s coming over to *hopefully* fix my hair, if it doesn’t work then I may end up going to the salon and we’ll end up behind with the council tax… again. I hope Alan’s remembered to call them about it.. hmm. We’ll just pay one month this week, and then last months next week and then we’ll be up to date again.. I just hope they realise that XD ah well

Had a great day yesterday, went to gunwharf keys with Kathryn and had a great load of fun, but I really missed Naomi.. I wasn’t there when she went to bed either.. think I better get off the computer in a minute when she’s up and have a lovely long play with her.. poor thing hasn’t really seen me today, I’ve had my head at the computer trying to figure out how to sort my hair out…

I think what I’ll do is to put some paper down and some plates of paint and have a huge hand and foot printing session! yay!

Well, toodle pip everyone, I’ll update again soon.
